Three Gen Y’s riding the post-pandemic tide at the making of indie rock.

The Marauders started as the pastime project of latent musicians Marcus Shrine, Paul Pecev and Marcus Summer.

Paul Pecev is a Macedonian drummer turned DJ who played the clubs in Europe. The Marcusii are both Brazilian-raised but with a twist: Shrine - vocals and guitar - was born in Indonesia but lived most of his adult life in America where he lent his influences, voice, charisma and guitar chops to a variety of music projects. Marcus Summer - bass and vocals - worked with theater as a songwriter in Brazil and moved to the US in the hopes of finding the right people he could play and write great music together.

The three met in the backyards of Boca Raton and their backgrounds brought them together as friends and musicians.

The result is a mixtape of sounds from the 90s, 2000s and a bit of what kicked off Generation Z. Pouring a lot of indie in the bowl, a ton of classic alternative, a bit of psychedelic, and a pinch of desert rock, they write and cover songs that make for the soundtrack of southern life.
